In 2017 our daughter Ruby moved from Coffs Harbour to Adelaide to take up a job with the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) on a popular children’s television program called Behind the News. She packed up her belongings in July and drove 1900 km across the south-east of the continent to start the next phase of her adult life. Her boyfriend Rob also relocated to Adelaide and started a new job there. They set up house together in the inner-northern suburb of Brompton.

In October 2017 Susie and I went to stay with Ruby and Rob for seven nights to celebrate their achievements and (re)visit some places in and around the beautiful southern city on the River Torrens. This is a record of our visit.
